Visiting the Rochester-Fairport area, I thought I’d hit up another spot on the TNYDNY trail! @preservationbeer has a great spot in Fairport, and offered about 10 taps, all of good brews. It’s been a while since my last #thinknydrinkny post, but a capitol city weekend brings me to @commonrootsbrewing ! I tried the Carousel of Colors IPA, the tart and summery Tropic sour, and a super dangerously deliciously toasty Coffee Cup. How I spent my holiday! Fun Calories, Too Much Drip, and Billions or Bodybags poured by @pillowandoatsbrewing in Beacon. A fave lil’ spot here. Also… I knit pumpkins. A lot. They make me happy, and knitting soothes me. I made these over 2h45m while enjoying good brews on a stormy day. I plan, with permission, to leave them here as a token of appreciation of sorts. Belated #medalmonday ! This is an important once. I posted about the race before, I even uploaded a video to my YouTube. I am grateful to have completed my first ultra this past weekend in New Jersey. While I’m not sure the 50 K distance is for me, I’ve been thinking about registering for an event like this next year – maybe a spot of camping while seeing how many miles I can log over 24 hours (uncompetitively of course)! On a serious note, I have two crowlers left from @peekskillbrewery. I am cracking this one because it has been a roller coaster to get this race together: training for a marathon, postponement of marathon, injury, lack of training for weeks, dedicated sobriety until a spontaneous 50K to carpe diem… And I finished it. I have four crowlers from the closure of Peekskill Brewery. I’m saving them for special occasions, with this Simple Sour cracked open to celebrate getting behind the mic Wednesday.
