I have four crowlers from the closure of Peekskill Brewery. I’m saving them for special occasions, with this Simple Sour cracked open to celebrate getting behind the mic Wednesday. Other than the odd karaoke appearance, the last public strumming may have been back in 2015 (if YouTube archives can be believed). It felt good, it was nerve wracking, and I’m grateful for the support at @slaintepeekskill from the @breweryrunning crew et al. Coming back from a roadtrip waaayyyyy out in western NY, I hit up @roscoebeercompany for a tipple and snack. Great vibes from Trout Town USA as it is, I liked the flavors on tap at the establishment. Not pictured is the dessert-smooth root beer! The Two-Headed Stout was light and robust in flavor, I should’ve taken a growler! Took a pit stop at Crooked Mouth Brewing on the way back from Cuba! Easy to get to, the brews were plentiful and the food menu looked very reasonably priced! I liked the eastern-influenced Cousin Kevin IPA (the woodsy notes were strong) and the Drizzle stout did highlight a dessert-like strength with sweet maple undertones.
