The menu was as educational as it was informative at @whiskeycoopny! Never mind that the chicken sandwich was the right kind of crispy and spicy, the choice of spirits were laid out in a clear to understand grouping of style and grain. Always looking to explore more of the @nyscraftbeer trails, I found @1812brewingcompany during my trip to Sackets Harbor! The Third Rail sipped quite smoothly, with back notes of “dark version of farm ale” miiillllld tangyness. Quite fresh! @garlandcitybeerworks brewery in Watertown hits all the industrial vibes for me. Can we talk about the Hopenhagen Lavender? The mildly bitter and malt flavor with a touch of lavender works way too well. Easily one of my favorites of all time, and I don’t say that lightly! I tried it via crowlers to take back home, as a race day the next day meant holding off for a few days. I checked out @thehopsspot in Watertown. Huge selection of brews on tap and in can. I played “dealers choice” and got a great bbq-onion-jalapeño crafted burger! After a long run, I stopped in @chathambrewing for some protein and electrolytes! I liked their industrial-biker vibes, and 15 taps! Their menu looked quite exciting, and I must have those street corn sprouts! I tried the Nor’ Eastah IPA, with orange-citrus notes and full mouth feel, and followed up with the crisp and not bread-like Czech’rd Past Pilsner. My meal was a summer salad with orange, onion, feta, walnut; and an @impossible_foods patty on top. Not my first time in Little Falls by a long shot, yet @rockvalleybrewingco opened since last here. Y’all must visit, full stop. The O’Regan’s Irish Stout had roasty notes and didn’t bloat you up, and Rock Lager is a crushable medium-ish bodied malt-forward yet not “bready” pour.
