Hudson Valley Brewery has a chic new tasting room! Lookin’ good! I tried out the Say No More, which was dark like a porter and toasty in flavor: I almost wanted marshmallows! I decided to scope out Pillow & Oats, in Beacon NY. Always excited to try out new places, I had to stop in. Long Live the Hop features Mosaic hops (my favorite) and drinks like a citrus juice. Experimental Hammock should get a nod, but don’t let the “hoppy” fool you into thinking “bitter!” It drinks like a sparkling icewine! Customer service has been so friendly and warm! Third time’s a charm for Ægir’s tap house in downtown Reykjavík! Timing on my part just didn’t quite work out but so worth it in the end: the Ægir White Ale has familiar orange citrus backbones with a good malty taste, and Fantur Coffee IPA makes bitter hops and coffee beans work in the best way you can imagine. If I wasn’t here for only a few more days, I’d get a growler of that!
