Third time’s a charm for Ægir’s tap house in downtown Reykjavík! Timing on my part just didn’t quite work out but so worth it in the end: the Ægir White Ale has familiar orange citrus backbones with a good malty taste, and Fantur Coffee IPA makes bitter hops and coffee beans work in the best way you can imagine. If I wasn’t here for only a few more days, I’d get a growler of that! BrewDog is an international chain that I first heard of for their NA offerings. In Reykjavík, they offer amazing standards such as a dangerously dessert and fudge-like Night Hawk, alongside super-local brews from Álfur such as the floral saison Blómáfur!
