Not my first time in Little Falls by a long shot, yet @rockvalleybrewingco opened since last here. Y’all must visit, full stop. The O’Regan’s Irish Stout had roasty notes and didn’t bloat you up, and Rock Lager is a crushable medium-ish bodied malt-forward yet not “bready” pour. This outpost from their mega Cooperstown location continues the vibe. Specializing with a few cask ales in addition to their most popular brews, the lightly toasty Jessica’s Red Ale has a familiar lovely rye-bread note (IMHO), and the cask pub ale Shepher’s Hollow is moderately malty with strong honey flavor that’s not sweet and mildly carbonated. Another new brewery visit! Today I skipped to @cooperstownbrewingco (who also manages @northwaybrewingco) in Milford, NY! Old Slugger English Pale was amazingly drinkable and refreshing, and the Nineman session ale was bready in all the right ways. I took home some cans of their Induction Ale, made for the Hall of Fame weekend a few days ago. Can’t wait to try!
